Lanyards And Layers

Heavy winter makes using a lanyard to hold keys a real winner as hinging those keys around your neck is much easier than trying to stick them in a pocket through several layers of clothing. A person doesn’t even need to remove their gloves or mittens to access their keys and returning them back around the neck can be accomplished without getting your hands cold. The keys don’t need to dangle outside of the cost they can be stuffed inside and then the coat zipped to keep them warm.

Lanyards have been used to hold things for many years and started out being used in the military to keep parts of guns secure. Their use expanded as the years have passed and now neck lanyards are in widespread use carrying keys, pens, small electronics and even eyeglasses. Not only do they secure personal items but they are also vehicles for advertising and many companies have them imprinted or woven with their company logo and name in their company colors.

Wide strap lanyards are the lanyard of choice for advertising as the wide strap offers more room for getting a company’s message across. Lanyards come in different width straps and the widest is around ¾ of an inch and the narrowest is a round cord. The different widths also are different prices with the wider the strap the more expensive the lanyard.

There is a lanyard made to suit anyone and for the very fashion conscious a beaded lanyard would be the way to go. They have all of the features of any other lanyard, but as the name says the strap is beaded and resembles a necklace more than a lanyard. Many women prefer these and some who enjoy beading make their own to show off their artistic skill. There are many options, but they all offer the same advantages for keeping track of keys wearing layers of clothing.
